INTENSIVE SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSES
Spanish language acquisition is a top priority for BIC, and we encourage language practice and develpoment in every aspect of the semester abroad program. From Spanish classes to excursions, we provide you with numerous opportunities to use Spanish in your day-to-day life. We also guarantee small class size to ensure that you have plenty of personal attention as well as opportunities to participate and interact in class. Outside of class, you can take advantage of extras offered by BIC, such as "intercambios" (language exchanges) and activities in Spanish. Interaction with BIC staff in Spanish also guarantees an enhanced Spanish language progress that could not take place at your home university.
AREA STUDIES ELECTIVES
While our intensive Spanish language courses will provide you with the skills and confidence to immerse yourself in the local culture and improve your level of Spanish, the semester abroad program at BIC also provides you with the added benefit of fulfilling your credit requirements back at home with courses taught in English among international students to bring a variety of perspectives to class discussions. Additionally, most courses include academic field studies that allow students to use Barcelona as an extention of the classroom. With extras such as visits to art museums or walking tours of hidden gems in the city, the course makes the very most of this exciting location, both inside the classroom and out and about in the city.
