Below, you can take a look at just a few examples of the numerous culture activities and trips that you can take advantage of with Barcelona International College.

Barcelona Culture & Leisure Activities
- Sightseeing tours. You can go on guided tours of Barcelona's distinct neighborhoods. Admire the cobblestone streets and centuries-old architecture of the Old Quarter, learn about the Roman ruins still found right in the city, marvel at the curvy Art Nouveau buildings of L'Eixample and more!
- Visit Park Güell, one of Gaudí's many masterpieces. A delight for the senses, lush gardens and open spaces incorporate creative Art Nouveau architectural elements, colorful tiled mosaics and amazing views over the city for a truly unique complex that belongs on any visitor's checklist.
- Tour of Camp Nou, international football powerhouse FC Barcelona's home stadium. Seating nearly 100,000 people, it's one of the world's largest stadiums and has seen numerous top-notch international matches.
- Museum visits. Barcelona is home to an eclectic range of excellent museums. With BIC you can visit all sorts of museums and galleries: Picasso Museum, Miró Museum, MNAC, MACBA, CaixaForum and more!
- Pueblo Español. This open-air architectural museum, built in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition, is town in which the architeture and culture of all of Spain's diverse regions are preserved in one place. Here you will find 117 buildings, streets and squares built to scale in this model Spanish village.
- Sagrada Familia. Easily one of Barcelona's top attractions, the Sagrada Familia is largely considered Antoni Gaudí's ultimate masterpiece. Not to be missed under any circumstances!
Barcelona Trips & Excursions
- Madrid. Capital of Spain and largely considered the country's nightlife capital, Madrid is an exciting city packed with cultural venues, sidewalk cafés, sprawling parks, great shops and much more!
- Valencia. Famous for its Mediterranean beaches, its sleek and ultra modern City of Arts & Sciences and its world-famous Fallas festival, Valencia has plenty to offer you. Its monument-packed Old Quarter - El Cármen - has been cleaned up and revamped, Cutting-edge projects share city space with centuries-old churches and restaurants lining the beaches serve up Spain's best paella.
- Tarragona. Come along on an excursion to this World Heritage Site and discover the incredible archaeological excavations of the once-affluent Roman town of Tárraco.
- Montserrat. If you're interested in combining culture and nature, our Montserrat excursion may be just what you're looking for. Popular with climbers, this mountain is also home to Santa María de Montserrat, a spectacular Benedictine abbey. Here you can admire the Gothic cloisters of the basilica, view original paintings by El Greco, Dalí and PIcasso in the museum and listen to the Escolanía, one of the oldest and most renowned boys' choirs in Europe.
- Gerona. An excursion to Gerona is your chance to explore this living museum of a city. Discover Greek and Roman ruins, lose yourself in the old Jewish quarter's jumble of picturesque streets, check out some of Spain's best-preserved Arab baths and much more. What's more, much of Gerona is still enclosed within its original medieval walls!
- Figueras. Birthplace of Surrealist artist and international character Salvador Dalí, the town is now home to the Teatre-Museu Gala Salvador Dalí, dedicated to and designed by Dalí himself. Here you'll find the world's largest and most diverse collection of Dalí works, the majority of which was from his personal collection.
- Sitges. Don't pass up the opportunity to visit this small coastal town, famous throughout Spain for its nightlife, popular beaches and arsty cultural scene.
- Freixenet winery. Interested in Spain's wine culture? How about an excursion to Spain's famous and historic Freixenet winery? Producing some of Spain's best "cava" (Spain's answer to France's champagne), the Freixenet winery offers our students a guided tour and cava tasting session.
